I shoot em with a 30-06 only because I don't have a 25-06.
117 gr works best for me..243 Win. 80-85gr TTSX ~3300fps.
.270win 130gr backup.
if you go 25-06, I'd say go 100gr bullet.
I think a 6.5prc with a 120 or 140 could be pretty awesome,
or if they ever do a 7mm prc....with 120/140...
I guess that could include a 280ai....
but inside of 500yds I think the .243win is pretty awesome!
Joke is on you guys...I have a buck and a doe tag!!!! And I have my 2018 mule deer buck on film with a one shot kill at 488 with a 6.5.I was waiting for that Bones !!
Scott must have a doe Antelope tag.
Don’t think a Creedmore would kill a buck
C'mon man! The 28 Nosler is just the magnum version of the 6.5 Hipster. It comes with a case of Mtn. Dew and a flat brim hat.Sounds good
If you’re looking at the 7mm you should also check out the .28 Nosler. Same Bullets with awesome ballistics.
Interesting comment about the 28 Nosler.C'mon man! The 28 Nosler is just the magnum version of the 6.5 Hipster. It comes with a case of Mtn. Dew and a flat brim hat.
I bought my son a Model 600 in .243 when ne was 12. He still has it over 40 years later and it still shoots lights out. It is a tack driver for sure. After shoulder surgery I'm going to be using a 660 Remington carbine in .243 Winchester. Otherwise I'd use my 30.06. I use the same practice of sighting in as Colorado Cowboy, 2" to 2 1/2" high at 100 yds. for a point blank range of 300 yds + or -.
