It been real dry here too. Dont look like the mountains have much snow yet either from what I have seen. Hope it changes in the next month or so or we gonna be in trouble later on.

Finally got a call lastnight I was cleared to pick up my Iver Johnson pistols! 1 just needed the cylinder cleaned and freed up and was in better shape then I expected! The other for parts ended up being a large frame 32 s&w long which I didnt even know they made. Pretty tight gun other then missing cylinder and grips. Was able to find the missing parts on Numrich this morning so looks it is going to be a shooter as well! Pretty amazing how many parts Numrich has available for old guns!

Thanks timber! I guess you could say I got a thing for old guns:) I have 7 2nd and 3rd model Iver johnsons now. 3 38s, 3 32s, and 1 22. Can pick them up pretty reasonable if you look around. Thing I only paid over 100 for 1 or 2 of them.

Wow MM, quite the collection!
Thanks! Im just getting started:) Im about to apply for my C&R license so I dont have to go through an FFL dealer every time I find a deal on an old gun and since I live so near to Idaho its a pain when you find an old pistol and have to have it shipped to Washington and pay a transfer fee. Found a wall hanger pistol at Cabelas (literally under a mile from the WA border) for $30, but it would of cost me another 50+ to get it, so it stayed at Cabelas. If I had the C&R I could have walked out with it for $30.

A few pics. Guess I lied before. Pistol on right is actually a US Revolver co. Its made by Iver Johnson but it has a 1/2 cock instead of the "hammer the hammer" action. It was supposed to be a 32, ended up being a 38. One on left was supposed to be a 32 and ended up being a 22, both from the same guy. Some people cant get nothing right, but got a $25 discount out of it! # 2&3 from left and the one on right are the only ones made for smokeless powder, others are all black powder. I shoot CBs in the 22. The hammerless pistol was my first one about 15 years ago and the model 55 Winchester is the one that started my lever action Winchester addiction when I was about 7 years old:)

There were a cpl sprigs and gadwall in the mix, looks like the sprigs had already been pulled out of the group so they didn't get messed up before going to the taxidermist. Fun hunt with several younguns <12yo on their first goose hunts. Going to Oklahoma on Mon & Tues to get filmed shooting them for an advertisement video. :D

Anyone know anything about OTC Barbary Sheep hunting in New Mexico or where I could get some more info? Cant seem to find much info or harvest stats on the NM site. I expect it it would be a tough hunt but would get to see some new country and could go in the off time from other hunts!

I have been trying to kill a bull sprig here in Nevada. Got a female and she is lonely on the piece of drift wood.

They just don't fly where I hunt for some reason.

Re machined part of a ford transmission to use on a chevy transmission. Now if I can find a seal to fit both since the chevy has a smaller input shaft. If not have to machine some more. Same transmission just slightly different version. Ford version is pretty common, chevy isnt. Not sure how anyone could break off the sleeve the throw out bearing slides on but I guess the guy that had it was talented in all the wrong ways. lol
