It starts about the middle of August for me. By the time opening day rolls around, I'm pretty much used to going all day on 4-5 hours of sleep. That's what it's all about!!!! Hunting pretty much consumes all my thoughts this time of year.So how many of you are awake thinking about an upcoming hunt rather than sleeping like you should be? I've had this problem for a couple weeks now, I guess I will be used to not having much rest by the time I go hunting!
All it did for us was let our mosquitos stay out all day long. Usually get a cold snap around the first of bow season that'll drop temps into the 40s for the AM and then bump up to the 90s after lunch.I like your cold fronts better. Last week we had one day with a high of 37 and a couple inches of snow and 20 mph wind ... t-shirt weather here, lol. I thought I saved some tomato plants but they didn't make it. I tried to cover them, but no such luck.
All of my hunts are east of me as wellTwo more days of work, then I'm heading east! Many guys on here seem to go west for elk???
Thats because they live east of the elk! HAHA! Good luck on your hunt!!!! I'll be heading south this year but I usually head east too!Two more days of work, then I'm heading east! Many guys on here seem to go west for elk???
I might be able to give him better competition on the antelope! HAHA!Well I at least want to see you guys arm wrestle or something
