Help - no truck

I drove my truck out from NC to hunt antelope near Thermopolis and yesterday, the first day, my timing belt broke and ruined my engine. It will take a few days to get a new one and I am sitting in my motel instead of hunting.

Does anyone know someone near here that might let me borrow or rent a 4wd truck for a few days, maybe one that is older and sitting around?

Riverton looks like they might have a truck from U Haul you could rent, but it looks like its an hour or so away. No idea if it is 4x4 though. Looks like most car rental places are in Cody though.

Go to a local repair shop and explain your problem. One year my Dad's truck clutch went out, we got it to a garage in Powder River. Owner arranged for Dad to rent a locals truck.

Tacoma, not a Tundra right? Not surprising a midsize truck would have a belt.

I just assumed dave was driving a full size truck.
Nope. I don't buy vehicles until they get close to 100k miles, then drive them the second 100k+. That means older, and with trucks that means smaller, so mine is a 2004 Tacoma, which is on the smaller size, even for a Tacoma. Bigger would be nicer but no payments is better still. I had a repair on a vehicle 6 years ago and can't remember the one before that, so I've been very fortunate.
