Just throwing it out there, what if you needed a last minute purchase of broadheads, a release, box of ammo before your hunt? Or a pack of hooks, weights, or a pair of cleats before your kids baseball game? And, there just so happens to be nothing in your neck of the woods that has those items? The store serves its purpose in those cases whether I agree With their stance or not. My hunt, my fishing trip with my boy and his baseball game are more important to me than trying to make a stance. I dont Have the luxury of bass pro which is an hour away, sportsmans which is a few states away etc....dicks will do. Whether their dicks or not:)
Yeah, I'm a dissatisfied customer, not a martyr. But I still try to shop the locally owned shops, even when they cost a little more. I generally find more personalized service to be more important than a few bucks saved!

If Trump and the legislature bump the age to buy a long gun up to 21 like they did with handguns because 18 year olds are too immature to own them, then they should also require a minimum age of 21 to serve in the military and to vote for our future leaders. At 18, they would be too immature to be allowed to do either using that same logic.

do what you gotta do. it simply is not possible to boycott all the fools of the world no matter how hard one tries.

dicks and walmart have stated they will not sell ammo to anyone under 21
I would expect they will see some age discrimination lawsuits. hope to live to see both outfits go under.

I'VE BEEN IN WALMARTS and to be fair to them , some of those "low paid" employees are still getting paid ten times what they are worth.

yep. completly agree.

we are always being asked to compromise , for the "children".

OK FINE , BEING THE REASONABLE PERSON THAT I am I will compromise and support the age increase of buying guns to 21 BUT only if the left will compromise also and add to that bill, to increase voter age to 21 AND it will be required that ALL WHO VOTE ,must pay taxes or own property!

let's see how much the left really care about "the kids!"

On a handgun purchase it has been 21 for a lot longer than quite a few on here have been alive.

I believe that it was back in 1968 when the law changed where you had to be 21 to purchase one from a dealer.

I told the wife the other night I will not ever buy anything from them again. She quickly reminded me I've never bought anything from them. She's always got to one up me!

They were the only place locally that carried some ammo I use. After hearing this I will find a new source or order online. I will also cease buying ammo or anything I can find elsewhere at Walmart after they changed their gun sales age to 21. Looks like Midway USA and Freedom Munitions will get most of my ammo business now, the remainder being what my gunsmith carries.

I also talked to my Senators office after his comments to the Capital Journal. He had said that AR rifles aren't used for hunting and if they are they shouldn't be among other comments I disagreed with. I told him (his staffer anyway) I'm a rancher who just started calving season. I hunt coyotes to control populations around our herd by calling them, as well as other places to help other ranchers. I use an AR rifle most of the time because it gives me the best chance of taking multiple coyotes if more than one respond. I was thanked for my input and dismissed pretty much. He lives in Virginia while claiming to represent my state anyway I think his values reflect that state much more than mine.

The AR issue is part of the problem with the uninformed and misinformed public. Companies dropping the NRA is also a problem, None of them will get another dollar from me.

NRA STATEMENT ON CORPORATE PARTNERSHIPS

(FAIRFAX, VA) ? The more than five million law-abiding members of the National Rifle Association have enjoyed discounts and cost-saving programs from many American corporations that have partnered with the NRA to expand member benefits.

Since the tragedy in Parkland, Florida, a number of companies have decided to sever their relationship with the NRA, in an effort to punish our members who are doctors, farmers, law enforcement officers, fire fighters, nurses, shop owners and school teachers that live in every American community. We are men and women who represent every American ethnic group, every one of the world?s religions and every form of political commitment.

The law-abiding members of the NRA had nothing at all to do with the failure of that school?s security preparedness, the failure of America?s mental health system, the failure of the National Instant Check System or the cruel failures of both federal and local law enforcement.

Despite that, some corporations have decided to punish NRA membership in a shameful display of political and civic cowardice. In time, these brands will be replaced by others who recognize that patriotism and determined commitment to Constitutional freedoms are characteristics of a marketplace they very much want to serve.

Let it be absolutely clear. The loss of a discount will neither scare nor distract one single NRA member from our mission to stand and defend the individual freedoms that have always made America the greatest nation in the world.

Yep as soon as they get what they now consider "common sense" laws passed another tragedy will occur and they will say "we didn't go far enough".

Yeah he did. He didn't talk like that back when he needed to get re-elected. Back then he still needed the $600,000 that the NRA contributed to his re-election campaign. Now that he is not expected to seek re-election in 2020 he can safely betray his constituents.
