I use the bino harness by Sitka - it is really nice. It is a shoulder strap with a waist strap also. A couple things I really like about a harness - no dirt, rain, snow inside when zipped up. It can go over or under my coat depending on how bad the conditions are. Also it is a zipper closure, but also has a magnet closure for quick access. I love it for crawling or bending over, my glasses don't bang around or get in the way of my bow. Another nice feature is there is a pocket or strap on the side of the harness that I attach my range finder to, so it is right there handy to use. Here is a pic of the harness in use.

I used the S4 last year on my elk hunt and loved it. I honestly forgot I was even wearing it at times. Very comfortable and kept my glass clean. Only negative was that it was a pain to pass them off to my wife when she wanted to look through my binos...

I've used kuiu and fhf gear. I really liked how the kuiu felt while wearing but I use my binos on a tripod frequently, and the kuiu harness attaches to the actual binos. Been using the fhf for 2 seasons now. Really like the extra pockets, loops for havalon, rangefinder, tags. Can't go wrong with Sitka, kuiu, fhf,or Alaskan guide creations. They all fill a bit of a different niche of glassing/hunting styles.

My favorite are the sitka ones. I don't need to connect my binos to them and the magnet opening is quick and quiet. I like the little attachments points on the sides for my rangefinder, walki e talkie, or elk, turkey calls.

Does the harness attach directly to the bino's or just the pouch?

I have used the badlands and the eberlestock bino packs in the past but I just got one from Alaska guide creations that is everything I have been looking for. I got their newest compact model with the rangefinder pocket in the front. This pack is absolutely awesome!!! The badlands one is good but it is loud when the magnet snaps together and there was no where to put a rangefinder and the eberlestock one was just big and awkward in my opinion.

Plain old scheels bino harness here. I'd be lost if I had to go back to the old straps. They're exposed most of the time but I do have the soft shell cover that Scheels sells for rainy days. It just flops over the binocs and the magnet grabs it in the front. There is also an elastic strap that holds it on the binocs when you are using the glasses.

I use the S4 Bino harness. I love it. Keeps my glass clean and when I am on a stalk bent over they hold tight to my chest so they are not banging around or getting dirty!

Fhf for me. Adding the range finder pouch for this fall so everything will be tight to my chest and handy. Much better than the old stretchy one I had that didn't hold the binos that great

I've had the FHF bino harness for a little more than 2 years. I have my range finder on the harness too. This setup works great for me. The system stays where it should when you are hiking and the binos are easily accessible. This system is very quick and easy to get on and off when removing or adding layers as well. Binos can be disconnected easily to mount on a tripod, etc with no effect on the harness.

I love my Alaska Guide Creations bino pack. It has the most comfortable harness system I've every tried. Great protection for my Bushnell ARC 1600's.
