My kids use a 7mm-08 and my wife uses a 25-06. We've killed a lot of animals with both, the 7mm-08 is one of my favorites it hits hard and has a fairly wide selection of bullets available. The only negative experience I have had with the 25-06 was with cheap ammo, it has performed flawlessly...

I applaud him for attempting to be part of the solution. More of us should probably be getting involved, but I think it may already be too late.

My memory isn't that good, I just remember going to the same place for all of the shots several times when I was young and for some reason I remember being given sugar cubes. Oh and I remember being scared shitless.

I remember getting sugar cubes with a shot but I don't remember what the shot was for. This would have been early 70s

I never played around with the liver but when I was a kid at hunting camp we would fry up deer heart for breakfast whenever we could. You would not notice the heart at all in burger. I have never been a fan of liver of any kind so I can't comment on that.

Original plans were Deer and Antelope in Wyoming with my daughter, but with all the comments about the poor antelope numbers I am having second thoughts. Either going to stick to plan A or possibly have my son skip a couple weeks of college and burn up his Wyoming Elk PPs.

Very Cool! looks like a great project.

I cannot imagine going across country on a hunting trip and not working your butt off, that is what makes it fulfilling. For me the experience is what it is all about. I always felt that whatever group I went with, we were a team and whatever success was had was the teams success. Everyone...

I laughed out loud when I seen this, there was a kid in my kndergarden class that did that, poor kid had never seen a urinal before.

I am not for or against taking the vaccine, but I am not going to be in a huge hurry to take it. Like you the number of people I know that have had the virus is over 100 and the stories are similar to what you laid out. What scares me more than the virus is how fear has caused people to...

I hear what you are saying but you don't live in Michigan. We have a new breed of Barnie Fifes here. I will not bore you with the details but a good friend of mine took his 10 year old daughter hunting on his private property. Around 10 am he took her for a 200 yard walk to see who was...

Sorry for your loss! I lost my dad 30 years ago when I was 17. Not a day goes by that I don't think of him especially when I am hunting. Honor his memory by instilling the same values in your kids. I know what you are going through and it sucks, focus on the memory and when the time comes that...

Happy Thanksgiving! Through all the craziness of 2020 today I am reminded how blessed I am to live in the greatest nation on earth. To be able to over eat at noon then grab a gun and go deer hunting with my daughter for me is a great life.

Yes I would take a couple of them. Don't get to hunt mule deer that often these days and would be happy with several of those.

This has been a very difficult year for us. Hoping that the lack of deer is due to them migrating to the massive acorn crops this year, but I fear that it has more to do with all the wolves we have been seeing this year.

Oh they understand, they want to replace us with wolves.

I agree, when I hear poacher I think of someone shooting an animal out of season or using a light or similar offences. These habitual offenders need to go to jail. Anyone who regularly disobeys any law isn't going to care about fines and having their license revoked. How many people are...

yes sir

The tree huggers hit a home run with this one, hunters are going to fund the destruction of their sport. I have been dealing with wolves all fall, I have 7 in one single trail camera picture. Have been finding deer carcasses regularly. I pray that somehow this doesn't ruin Colorado's hunting...

Over 450,000 ballets have been identified that only had 1 vote on it. All of them were for Biden, apparently these people were too busy to vote for anything other than president right? There is public data showing dead people voted in Georgia, if you don't care because your choice won I guess...
