I wonder what percentage of that 7% applied for the units that were OTC last year. If I hunted one of those units for my entire life and wanted to continue hunting there, I would have applied to get my "Archery bull tag". That alone could cause a big rise in applicants.

In regards to the Elk I would think that there are a TON of applicants applying to the southwestern areas that went from OTC to a draw. That might explain some of it.

I hope I draw my tag because I have a lot more than that tag invested int hat trip so far. I guess we will see.

The Velcro wore out on mine. I dont think I will go that route again. I do a lot of traveling at 80 MPH and the Velcro doesn't hold up to that. I might look into having that Velcro replaced as a temporary fix though!.

I need a new one. The one with the Velcro sides I have currently was flapping like superman's cape behind the truck coming across Nebraska last year. What do you have? What do you wish you had bought? Assume that price does not matter. I am leaning towards one of these but I dont like how...
