I would call it in. When the heartbeat stops the collar will send a GPS location. I’ve never seen a mule deer that was collared before but I know in Nv they do collar them. In Ca there are a ton of bears that are collared. I’ve seen one small bear this year that had one on.

I also have a few favorites. I’ll start with this one. my daughter wanted to go on this hunt with me so bad. I kept telling her no because of what it was going to take for us to get close to this buck for a shot. She didn’t care. bloody knees after a 500 yard crawl andshe still didn’t care!

Im really loving my 28 Nosler. Crazy accurate, it feels great in my hands, light weight and fun to shoot. I did add a muzzle brake also.

The older I get the more I realize I need to stop hunting solo so much. It’s a real pain on my whole body processing my bear this year. It’s a ton of work and I’m thankful I didn’t kill him a few miles in on some of the hikes I did. Oh and don’t forget my kill kit in my archery pack next time...
