You sure get a different variety of ducks than we do down here . I've only seen Sprig (Pintail) a couple of times and never seen a Spoonie. Mostly the 3 types of Teal, tons of mallards, some Widgeon and Gadwall.

I have been hunting a unit next to 73 for 25 years. The last few years we have noticed a big decrease in the number of antelope we see, especially does. The last 2 or 3 years, they have not issued any does tags. Been really dry and with hard winters, the antelope numbers have really taken a hit.

Well said. I believe a well run business (including government) should have what we called a "management reserve" when I was working. Makes a lot of sense. Colorado's P & W is managed as an enterprise (a business) and I personally think it has gone downhill since the legislature passed the bill...

I am sure glad I have been able to hunt Wyoming for the last 40 or so years. It looks like the only ones that will get to regularly do that in the future are those with lots of money. The rest of us will continue to buy points and wait years to hunt there. Sad deal.

I too am recuperating from back surgery 6 weeks ago. Everything went well and no pain anymore. Doing PT and walking a mile or more every day. Take care.....

Got a couple of better pictures. Here is the story....They set up near a water source and the bull and his cows came to water. He shot him in the shoulder and the bull jumped in the water and either died or drowned. The first picture shows just the tip of an antler sticking out of the water...

As I understand it, the way they pass it on is thru their crap droppings. It gets on their feet and is spread to other areas and to the grass they eat.
