Grizzly Bear Illegally Shot in WY

Hypothetical Situation: Every time you walk out your back door, the neighbor dog bites the living hell out of you. You would likely stop walking out your back door temporarily. So you call the neighbor and tell him he needs to do something about the dog because it has been biting you when you...

    Cat time

My wife gives me that same look when we are hunting and I tell her "I think we can find a better one"

    Dog Food

Diamond Naturals. But our lab is far from a "hunting dog". He wont even kill a cat....which I find to be embarrassing.

We wanted snow.....we are getting it! I'll have to get the snowplow out in the morning for sure.

Nice! I miss the snow. I am surprised you dont use an aerator to keep the ducks/geese on your pond and have some good Colorado late season action.

    White water

I have never had any interest in the whole whitewater thing. Closest I ever had to whitewater was when I was younger late season goose hunting I almost flipped an 18 foot boat in a raging river (with 4" thick icebergs the size of car hoods roaring down it). That should be worth some form of...

    Venison burger with organs

Personally, I would never add the organs to my burger. I do eat deer liver. One time a year. No more that 1 time though. When my grandparents were alive they would eat as much deer liver as we could give them. The both lived to be in their late 80's so maybe there is something to it. lol

The "New" Cabin by the pond

This building was sold as a repo unit so I got it much cheaper and it already had insulation in it. Going to get started finishing the inside this weekend. That machine they use is pretty dang impressive and the guy who set it up was great and I was shocked by how easily he move this building...

The time is almost here again...

I can relate as I too have all but given up on taking people out west. For instance, my dad and my father-in-law complained the entire time I had him in Montana this year. I basically sacrificed my entire hunt to help try and get them their deer and all they did was bitch the entire time...lol

Grizzly Bear issue of Wyoming Wildlife

Unrelated, but I personally took this picture of this "Pet" Siberian brown bear cub that escaped from a local enclosure and reeked havoc with our workers for a few hours and this guy was VERY lucky this little bastard didn't get a hold of him. I couldn't have picked a better moment to hit the go...

Your Favorite Rifle And The Story That Goes With...

If I had to choose a gun it would be my 760 Gamemaster 30-06 all day long. Very accurate with my hand-loads. Shoots 1" groups at 100. Its a one shot and flop kind of gun for the most part. Follow up shots are quick and its very reliable. Doesn't have the best trigger and its a bit "Clanky" but...

    Poachers... What a joke!

"Where did you get those cool hooks?" Said the hunter who waited for 25 years to draw an elk tag. "They cut my hands off for poaching" - Said no-one ever....

    Tripods

I have 2 slik tripods and 2 cheap Vanguard tripods. All of which have flip locks and all of which work fine for my needs. However, the one slik I got years ago is only high enough to use while sitting down and too flimsy to extend all the way out, which I find seriously annoying for most...
