Honestly I wouldnt say I am hoping for a "great tag" at this point, just any tag other than an OTC tag at this point will do. haha

I wonder what percentage of that 7% applied for the units that were OTC last year. If I hunted one of those units for my entire life and wanted to continue hunting there, I would have applied to get my "Archery bull tag". That alone could cause a big rise in applicants.

In regards to the Elk I would think that there are a TON of applicants applying to the southwestern areas that went from OTC to a draw. That might explain some of it.

I hope I draw my tag because I have a lot more than that tag invested int hat trip so far. I guess we will see.

The Velcro wore out on mine. I dont think I will go that route again. I do a lot of traveling at 80 MPH and the Velcro doesn't hold up to that. I might look into having that Velcro replaced as a temporary fix though!.

Gonna extend my trail tonight. After free-falling onto that trailer hitch last Saturday and pretty much destroying my shoulder I am not really up to doing much lifting right now. I wont be drawing a bow for at least another week. Not even a kids poundage bow. lol
