Great point CC!! I lived in Fairbanks for 4 years while in the Army and loved it. The hunting, fishing, scenery is phenomenal at super reasonable resident prices. My wife and I discuss moving back there frequently. AKaviator will have current info if you want to know more about Alaska.

I just received my successful Deer Tag email ... that took a few days.

Just check your application status on the CO Parks & Wildlife page. As I mentioned above it will tell you the status of your application .... tag or no tag.

I received three tags and received an email for two of them but not for deer. I can tell I got my deer tag because my application changed from “Entered” to “Active” and my Preference Points changed to Zero ... but no email.

Absolutely. I shoot Berger 195grains. With good shot placement (always the key) that bullet will be devastating on Elk.

My .28 Nosler shoots Berger Bullets very well. Dropped a bear and mule deer literally in their tracks.
