The cheap scope has short eye relief. And I usually hold the rifle very loosely at the range. Big mistake with the 270 on the first shot. After zeroed though it shoots just over an inch with cheap federal power shok. And probably not my best shooting after that first shot.

Strange it's taking so long on the background check. My kids bought last wednesday and picked up on saturday after the background cleared.

#1 I know these are really cheap entry level rifles. But just had to shout out my kids just bought 2 on clearance at wal mart with cheap scopes on them for $54 dollars each. One in 270 and the other 308. Regular price is $260 Not sure if this is all stores but figured I'd share.

Last I looked the fire was about a mile or so from where i typically do most of my deer hunting. I was caught on the other side when it started as I was up by deep lake with my kids and grandson. Made it home over cottonwood pass before they closed that down.

Thought I had posted previously but totally forgot. Drove to texas with my grandson the first week of june for 2 days of alligator gar fishing then a couple more days of bass and catfish. Celebrated his 11th birthday while there.

Got the september bear tag as a second choice and also drew 4th season buck in 444 with 2 points

I work in a grocery store so all good for regular income. I booked a hunt in romania for red stag and roe deer in 2022 , the money will be spent there.

Make sure your pilot allows butane stoves, some don't. Technically some law about it. I used a msr dragonfly with white gas. And in a twist our pilot had never seen before we took 3 bundles of firewood. Don't have to worry about bringing it back and really made a difference having a fire...
