It's an Avid MK5 I believe, but I think he told me Kit Fox either bought Avid or the other way around. I'm not very knowledgeable about planes compared to you guys.
He bought the plane built, but has since totally rebuilt it. Some things that he's done that I know of are; lengthen the fuselage...
I'll fly into Anchorage then head to my Sisters house in Palmer. We plan on either flying or driving to Talkeetna then spend some time on the Big Su and the Talkeetna. How long will you be up there? I'll post a pic of my Brother-in-laws little plane.
It's been a tough year to get out, since I've mostly been working on our new property, so we can get a shop built. But, I was able to get out before work and find a Jake that was willing to come take a look :)
Here's a pic of my late season AZ bull. This was my first elk hunt in AZ and I learned a ton about the area. The weather was pretty nasty with snow, wind and fog for the first 3 days. When it broke I couldn't resist when this bull tried sneaking out through the thick stuff:).
Here's a new one from this weekend. The yellow jackets were horrible, so we decided to just cut him at the back of the rib cage and carry him out in two pieces. It turned out to be about all I could handle, glad it wasn't very far out and mostly down hill...
Pics of hunting with family are the best, but as far as pics of just me, this one ranks pretty high in my personal favorites. It was a tough hunt, with tougher weather, but I had my second and best Dall Sheep, so I didn't mind too much!
Season started of tough, but was able to get started with a nice little Jake, a couple weeks in.
A couple weeks later
I spotted a couple Tom's while glassing for bears, I hustled back to the truck and grabbed my Turkey gear.
I was able to relocate them with the bino's and they worked their way...
Looks like I'll be headed to AZ with a late 7w rifle tag for elk this year. I wasn't really expecting to draw it til next year, but I had 1 more point than I thought :). I've had a lot of success the last two years in AZ, I hope that continues!
Made it home from my AZ Javelina hunt. Had a great time getting away from the snow and rain at home. I was able to catch up and hunt with some friends I met last year while I was in AZ on my first ever Javelina hunt. We had a great time catching up and stuffed ourselves with great food. On the...
Here's a couple of my favorite color phase. Ones a spring bear and ones from fall. ODFW did a cross section and counted annuli on the fall boar and it came back at 15 years old. I have a couple more that are lighter colored, but they aren't in digital format yet :) (Kind of dating myself)
