When you realize you are getting old!

In my experience in getting old, each new day....something else hurts or stops functioning.

    Wisconsin Spirit Deer

I believe it's illegal to shoot a true albino in Wisconsin, but Piebald (some brown on them) are completely legal to shoot.

    Ammunition shortage

I bought well before Barry O'bummer got elected. Refilled my stock after Trump became President and prices were reasonable. With the threat of Slow Joe and Heels up Harris for 4 years, my prediction on prices is....you ain't seen 'nothin yet.

Boom time or Doom time where you live?

Everything will be fine with oil, gas and coal after Biden cuts off all subsidies and fuel/electricity prices skyrocket. $4.00 a gallon gasoline, just like when Obummer was in office. Happy days!

Any tips or tricks to replacing stuck blades in an outdoor edge knife?

I have the Outdoor edge and the Gerber big game replaceable blade knives. I always clean them after use and never let them get grungy to begin with. I prefer the Gerber, the blades seem sharper and it's a bigger knife. Fits the hand well and doesn't slip when wet. At season's end I clean them...

    Remington 770 beater rifles

I scored a Remington 700 ADL with a scope in .223 Remington for $149.00 . I'm still waiting on my BG check to be cleared (been 3 weeks now) meanwhile Walmart lowered the price to $79.00. I guess I'm glad the FBI is slower than molasses in the Winter.

    6mm ARC

Isn't it just about the same as a 6mm Grendel? I didn't look up all the specs yet, that's just what I heard at the LGS.

List your favorite game processors here

A friend of mine got a ticket for quartering a 6x6 bull elk that we took through the Dubois check station when it was still open. We had ALL the meat, 4 quarters, the backstraps and the neck/head with hide attached. We had the penis/testicles in a bag . TICKET! The warden said that he knew it...

    220 Year Old Elk Antlers

Malarky! That's the second time in my life I heard that. The first was out of Feel-em-Up Biden's pie hole. LOL.

    2020 Fishing

My favorite fish to eat is walleye followed by northern pike. I fillet the pike and end up with 5 boneless fillets, and I use the meat that the Y bones are in and pickle it. The vinegar and pickling spices dissolves the bones.I add onions too.

    7MM - IMR 4064

I use IMR 4064 in my .243, .308, 30.06, and .375 H&H mag. Works great in all of them. I'm not looking to squeeze the most velocity out of any of my rifles. They all seem to shoot just fine with 4064.

    Lander "One Shot" antelope hunt

I heard they were not going to hold the controversial hunt this year, anyone have any information on the closure and why they did? IMO that "Hunt" with 80 set aside licenses in such a hard to draw premium antelope area is stealing tags from hunters that use the draw system, with less than...

    7MM - IMR 4064

I reload for my son-in-law's 7 magnum, and just as an experiment I used some IMR 4064 that I use in my 30.06. I looked up some loads in my older manuals for 140 gr. loads and was surprised that he got -1" groups @ 100yds. Never looked any farther, he was tickled.

    Unit 62 Antelope

I did some early scouting. Saw 2 really nice bucks that I'd take without a second thought. I imagine the bigger bucks will be dead if not taken on the opening. Not many tags in 62 this year, crowding won't be a problem I'm thinking. I may wait until the friends get here though. They haven't...

    When purchasing a license

I know several fellas that fit the Deadbeat description to a T. Yet they hunt, have newer Trucks and one even bought a new 4 seater Polaris UTV. How they get away with it is a mystery to me.

    Favorite mule deer bullet?

I'm shooting a .243 for everything now due to health related issues. I shoot Barnes TTSX , Hornady GMX and Nosler E-tips. All are 80/85 grain bullets. The Barnes are the most accurate in my rifle.

    Sage grouse help

Make soup out of the old tough ones, no need to add sage. The old "Bombers" are OK ground up, seasoned and made into jerky. I wouldn't try to roast one. A tennis shoe is a bit more tender. As far as I know, you can shoot either Blue or Ruffed grouse with a handgun or rifle, .22 or centerfire.
