I still enjoy the hunt but I have to keep reminding myself that I'm not 65 anymore.

Wyo Task Force - Nonres Comments!

Sure, c'mon out for a picnic or a hike, just don't hunt. The critters that live on that "Federal land" belong to the citizens of Wyoming. Just like they do in your state of Oregon. The birds in the trees understand it for chrissakes.

    Smoked Brook Trout

I need to get out to my secret spot for some 2-3 lb. Brookies for smoking. I haven't wet a line yet this year.

    Wyoming Area 70 Antelope

Area 70 is mostly private. I'd contact the Casper G&F office and ask them what ranchers allow antelope hunting. Mentioning your daughter's condition would be a big help. I have always found the Casper G&F folks to be helpful.

Wyo Task Force - Nonres Comments!

What's the difference how many tags he has? I doubt that Buzz has any plans to fill all of them. No skin off your nose.

    Wyoming Draw Results

Not recently, but I did draw an area #22 tag in 2001. Shot a nice 6x6 after looking over 5 or 6 bulls. It is a tough hunt. The terrain there is straight up and straight down. I couldn't do that hunt today, 20 years ago I could though. We saw lots of elk, but we had to climb every day...

    Wildlife task force, 90-10, etc.

One of our winters and the constant wind forces a lot of transplants to flee. You have to give up a lot to live here.

    Wildlife task force, 90-10, etc.

Do states give you back the money you spend on lottery tickets when you don't win? Times change and the G&f & Wyoming legislature need to change with them. Need some cheese with that whine?

    Wildlife task force, 90-10, etc.

If Sy of S-n-S outfitters is for the 90/10 split, then he's wanting something else....like outfitter/landowner set asides or something else. I know the guy, he's looking out for Sy & his outfitting business. He bears watching.

App Results Coming Soon *Via Email*

I applied for the hardest to draw tags in Wyoming for Antelope, Deer and Elk. I didn't have high or even low hopes to draw. I drew a coveted Red Desert antelope tag and due to back surgery I couldn't use it. I donated it to a wounded veteran through the G&F dept. I figured I blew my wad last...

If I draw any one of the tags I applied for I may just have my first heart attack or stroke. No high expectations here.

    17 Remington

A friend of mine has a .17 remington. You had better reload for it as ammo is scarcer than lips on a chicken. I use a .223 Remington 700.
