The 1 Thing You Learned- Rifles

The reason I used that action is because it fit that stock. I made the stock many years ago with an 03 Springfield action. I sold the action and because the buyer was right handed, I kept the stock. Decided one day to make another rifle for the stock as it is really beautiful grained & figured...

    Miroku Scope ?

Don't know anything about them. The one thing in optics than I DO know about is YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! Cheaper price almost always means less quality. That has been a proven fact with optics for over 50 years.

Not sure about that that, BUT we took a bunch of extra stuff and instead of bringing it home as excess baggage, we shipped it home via UPS. We took frozen fish home as our #50 per person allotment for checked in baggage on Alaska Air.

If you have time you need to visit the Sportsman's Warehouse in Soldotna, it is huge and has some great stuff. I bought some rainware that was on sale that was really cheap. There is also a killer bakery in town "The Moose is Loose"..

Thank you, I do love it. It is totally custom. It has a 03 Springfield action, Shilen match SS barrel, Timney Trigger & Leupold VXIII 6x20 on top. I made the thumbhole stock. It is unreal on Prairie Dogs.

I feed my Lab Purina HiPro salmon/tuna flavor. I only feed it dry, good for her teeth & tarter buildup. I absolutely won't feed a dog anything that'[s not at least 30% protein. I also feed twice a day measured. 2 cups in the morning, 2 afternoon. No table scraps. When she gets a little lean from...

Nope. We used VRBO for our rental near Soldotna in 2019 and didn't have to pay any damage deposit and no cleaning deposit. The owner had our credit card and could have charged it for cleaning if we left it a mess. I think each rentor does their own thing when it comes to those charges and...

What is unusual is that the pup doing his duty in his own space. They usually won't do that. I'll add the other suggestions are spot on too. Puppies need attention and lots of guidance. Hope all this advice helps. House training takes time and patience.

Senate Bill 103 - Wyoming License Price Increase - Guy Eastman

Very interesting letter and much appreciated. I have hunted Wyoming as a Nonresident since 1977. I live in Colorado since I retired 21 years ago. Lander, Wy was my choice for retirement, but my wife won out. If Wyoming changes much in their system and the $$$ it takes to participate in hunting...

One recommendation about buying seafood. Go to one of the businesses who process, smoke or can your fish. Their prices are pretty much in line with the markets, but their variety and quality is outstanding. We bought smoked salmon and prawns that were to die for and pretty reasonable.

Another recommendation for Louie's. One thing I remember is that I was a little surprised at the prices. Don't expect seafood to be cheaper just because your in Alaska.

I use 180 gr Nosler Partition for elk. My rifle likes them and does great. I have a custom .300, not a Wby rifle. I have also shortened up the freebore and it shoots great.

Not too many years ago several people who questioned the shot by Dixon, got a surveyor, a ballistic specialist from the US Army and a bunch of competition 1000 yard BP shooters and did a study on the tale. The conclusion was ....yes it was possible and probably happened. Pretty well reported...
