I really think both. Fewer hunters and more animals. At least in the area I hunted. I only hunted a small part of Wyoming so I can't say for the rest of the state.

Usually just my rifle, except if I'm in Griz country. When I went on a Thorofare Hunt, I carried bear spray and a S & W .44 mag.

I remember reading something about mixed breeding a few years back. If I remember correctly, other than tissue/DNA sampling, the biologists look at the musk glands on the rear legs. Seems like I remember them writing that the glands are different from both breeds.

The land was (and basically IS) not improved. No water or power. Had to do all the "improvements" (grading, berms, gravel, concrete, fencing) ourselves. Most state owned land here in Colorado is not "improved".

I use a couple of different things for keeping an edge on my knives. To start the process, I use a traditional whetstone with cutting oil. The oil keeps the stone from filling up with the residue I take off the knife. Once the knife has the edge I want, I use a Smith's edge "refresher". It...
