    Wyoming Deer Super Tag!!

More on Unit 90. I have hunted 90 (it's antelope unit 74) for antelope since 1980. I hunted it for 15 years before I really found any deer. I have only drawn a deer tag 3 times and killed bucks twice. Difficult unit for deer unless you know someone who knows it or you spend a ton of time looking...

    Wyoming Deer Super Tag!!

I have hunted 90, some nice bucks. Not a lot of deer and you will need to really scout the unit to find them.

Didn't say who I took it out on! Being able to be a varsity team member, opened up lots of opportunities for payback in practices to a couple of guys who were real jerks!

    College Visit

I went to school so long ago that there were very few foreign students there. I did my Masters in the 80's and yes there was a ton of them then.

Shriners are a great organization, I know as I have been one for over 30 years! I donate monthly to Shriner's Children's Hospitals who do great work. I also remember when I started college, the classes I chose were the wrong ones for sure. I struggled my first year just staying eligible. Took...

    College Visit

I remember when I started visiting colleges ( it was in 1959). I had football scholarship offers from quite a few schools. Way different back then, Freshman had to play Freshman sports per NCAA rules. I picked my school and signed the paperwork and then had to go thru hell during the fall from...

    Interesting bullet

I load .38's for my Bulls Eye pistol. I use 148gr hollow base wad cutters. Once in awhile I'll seat one backwards. I just shoot it in practice.

    Monsoons in SW Colorado

Preferred cartridge? Grip and grin pic added

Good choice. If you sight your rifle 1" to 2" high at 100 yds, it will shoot an animal at 300 yds without adjusting your aiming point.

There are several that are close as Jim mentioned. When I started shooting 25-06 there were no factory loads for it as it was a wildcat caliber

I agree on Jim for the caliber....25-06. I have been shooting it since is was a wildcat back in the 50"s , called .25 Neider back then. I have a Ruger M77 (1970's vintage, tang safety) topped with a Leupold VXlll 4x14 with ballistic turrets to match my loads. I shoot 117 Sierra boat tails. I...

What is trophy hunting article... Thoughts?

Good read that I agree with in most cases. The only exception I take is with the statement "today's trend of only valuing hunting as a means of food provision places us dangerously close to reliving a past where the future of North American wild game was bleak". With today's game management...

    Monsoons in SW Colorado

Just got home from my shooting club meeting and skies are clear east of me. The La Plata Mts are between us and Durango and are just over 12,000'. They have snow on them! It has stormed every afternoon for the last couple of weeks and has been pretty cool for the last 2 days (for this time of...

    Which One Would You Shoot?

Only killed a couple of Texas whitetails and they are runts compared to this big boy. As I have lots of very respectable mulies, I take this whitetail in a heartbeat.

    Which One Would You Shoot?

The mule deer buck has a tremendous amount of character, lots of great nontypical stuff. No question....the mulie for sure!

Wyo Task Force - Nonres Comments!

I hunted in north central BC. We took a jet boat up the Toad River to the camp. Horseback hunted every day. Was a great hunt, hunted with my Dad and Grandfather.

Wyo Task Force - Nonres Comments!

Some of you that really want to hunt moose and don't want to wait a lot of years for a stateside hunt should check out BC and Alberta. Their hunts really arn't that expensive when you compare them to a guided hunt in in the lower 48. I've been on 2 and both were great. It's been a long time ago...
