Bonus points for Mountain Goat and Rocky Bighorn? Non-res off years.

when I began applying non-res could build points... I think for most species I now have 14 in NV but only 2 for rocky bighorns there, just saying I could have 14 if they let you apply by now... just seems like NV would let you gain points and generate $$ from them.

Bonus points for Mountain Goat and Rocky Bighorn? Non-res off years.

I'm surprised NV won't let non-res, at least buy and build points for Mountain Goat and Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep, even when they're closed in off years?? I mean we have to front the $160 license we should be able to keep building points IMO. for even off species. Not to mention the state...

    Proposed Utah New Fees

these states need a NR only unit.... lol. or a certain unit where every tag issued is at the NR price! sure residents can hunt it....lol. imagine that, 10% hunting pressure, trophies everywhere. I dunno if it'll ever happen but I could see 1 price tags in the future.... supply and demand...

    Eastmans' in Colorado?

What units do they hunt? Private land vs public? draw tags vs Landowner? I'd like to hunt CO antelope in the future... seems like much of the good goat country is on private land or long draw odds? thanks for any insight!

    338 Win barrel length

22-24" max! 23" would be perfect! I don't have the chart in front of me, but basically... a 243win with a 22" barrel has more powder/barrel volume than a 338win mag with a 24" barrel. possibly even 22".

    MT Mule Deer over $600?

I just was shocked when comparing other states, namely NM and CO which mule deer tags are closer to $300. Epic outdoors had a good article recently, I thought 1 line was particularly telling, something like... You're a non-resident in 49 states! and he was speaking of himself in particular...

    280AI or 28 Nosler

split the difference, 7mm Rem.Mag? weatherby has the 6.5mm RPM, which I could see them coming out with a 7mm RPM sometime... also I could very well see a 7mm PRC/ruger coming down the pike soon, but who knows? IF you reload there's a ton of options, the 7mm WSM being one... Not to talk you...

    6% non-resident draw tags

PS- Maybe I should stop talking and increase my own odds.... jk. I'm assuming many non-res-non-guided, nrng, will be applying for hunts with 0 tags...

    6% non-resident draw tags

    My understanding... .06 x 17 = 1.02 tags = 1 tag issued .06 x 16 = .96 = no tag. .06 x 13 = .78 = no tag. according to some other publications.... they're saying many of these 15 tag units will not round up, and not issue a non-res non-guided tag...

    6% non-resident draw tags

Under the new system, many antelope units in NM will offer 0 tags to the non-resident, non-guided hunter! according to my math, a unit MUST have 17 tags available to potentially offer up to 1 tag for the non-guided-non-resident hunter! in the future NM is going to have to change this ASAP! and...

    338 Cal Rifles

I believe the 2 most popular .338 at least in the US are the 338 win mag 340 wby the 338win mag is shorter than the 300 win mag... so IMO the .340wby is really where it's at! it's a great design, 225-250grs at around 3000 fps is pretty awesome. I have a .340wby and really dream about one day...
