    Wyoming outfitters tags ?

Is what they are proposing only for outfitters or are they talking about setting aside some tags for landowners who just charge a trespass fee?

    Wyoming outfitters tags ?

Does anyone know what percentage of non residents currently uses outfitters. Most outfitters are currently booked up two to three years out so they must be getting a decent percentage of NRs now.

    Michigan Bear hunting adventure

Some folks haul a small pan and propane cooker out to their bait site an fry up a pound or two of bacon right there. They’ll leave the grease and bacon there, they claim it works well because the odor clings to the surrounding trees. I have never done it but it probably works.

    Michigan Bear hunting adventure

If I remember correctly you are not allowed to bait corn, grain or apples until September 1st or when ever the date is that you can start baiting deer. I would not use a lot of meet until you have a bear hitting the bait on a consistent basis.

Fryer grease has gotten hard to get, 20 years ago I could get all that I wanted, I think a lot of it now gets recycled to biodiesel.

Black oil sunflower seeds are the best thing that I have found. Not that bears are fussy but they will keep coming back for the black oil sunflower.

    Fuel prices affect

Wind and Solar will not be capable of meeting demand until storage capacity technology is developed, if that ever happens. I was fortunate to be part of a joint project between the company I was working for and WE energies about 10 years ago. I learned so much during that project and am grateful...

Trout fishing the Bighorns in August

Wondering how the trout fishing is in the Bighorn mountains during late August? Trying to schedule a trip with my son and based on our schedules this looks like the most convenient time. Later than I had hoped but better late than never.

Hunting Philosophy as you get older

With point creep and tag numbers dropping for nonresidents, I’ve been thinking that my only chance to hunt some of the really good units is by winning a tag through one of the raffles for commissioners tags. Long shot at best but at least the money goes to good causes. I’ve never built up a lot...

    WY 90/10 Deer/Elk/Antelope Question

The expense is one thing, but not believing that you will ever draw a tag and the inability to plan for a hunt, may cause many like myself to just focus on their home state. It really sucks, with hunter numbers going up and deer and antelope numbers going down, I can’t blame the folks in Wyoming...
