My wife surprised me yesterday and said "We need to start planning for next year, I want to go back to Alaska". So we have been talking about a return trip. In 2019 we spent a month there and were enthralled with everything. This time we want to go to Kodiak , Denali and Ketchikan. Probably spend 3 weeks or a month. Other than that everything is on the table.

Let the fun begin!

Foxtail lodge looks good on Kodak, haven't been there yet tho. Id spend the money and stay in the park as far in as one can at Denali.

I had a trip planned 2 years ago and the other couple backed out on us.
We were going to fly into Anchorage then take the train to Denali and stay in the park. Was going to do one of the glacier flights. Then train back to Anchorage rent a car go to homer area and do the glacier boat trips.
After that to Anchorage once more to fly to Kodak and Guffstine (sp) bay to the lodge.
4 people get the entire lodge and boat to themselves. Fly out after 5 days and directly home. Was the plan anyway. Only thing i might have added was the bear viewing flight that can found.

My wife and I flew into Anchorage and rented a RV to travel with. Went to Denali and drove into the park about 30 miles and spent 3 days there. They have a bus that you can jump on and off so can see more of the park. Since they only allow so many vehicles in the park each year reservations would be suggested.
