    Lightweight Boots

I'm wearing a pair of Crispi Colorado's, and have a years worth of wear on them and they still look close to new. They are the boots that I took to Africa last year. But the term lightweight and inexpensive don't go together. If I ever find them on sale again I am going to pick up a second...

Should I apply for Antelope in Wyoming or not???

There will always be those hunters who will shoot the first one that the see that is legal for the tag that they have. Then there are the others who will hold out to the end of their hunt before they pull the trigger, I would image that most non residents will be this way but you never know...

Should I apply for Antelope in Wyoming or not???

From what I understand they'll have to reduce them. I heard that the semis traveling on HWY 40 just slaughtered the antelope as they were standing in the middle of the road.

Should I apply for Antelope in Wyoming or not???

The season hasn't started yet.. I have seen states DWR's cancel and change hunts a month before the season starts. Sometimes it takes a bit longer into the year to get a better grasp on what is going on as far as herd health and numbers are concerned.

    Dolores County Colorado Hunting Accident

What it comes down to is a very stupid neglectful accident. I am surprised that CP&W didn't address the problem of both seasons, archery and muzzle loader running at the same time without requiring archery hunters to at the very least have to wear some orange camouflage during those 9 days.

Should I apply for Antelope in Wyoming or not???

They want you to draw a tag and get out of the point pool. I'll have to look at my points and see just how many I have

Should I apply for Antelope in Wyoming or not???

The thing that I would wonder about is how fit did the bucks go into the winter, and when we're the first big storms that hit the area. I just wouldn't want to draw the tag and then not be able to find a buck that I wanted to shoot. I might be hoping myself that 24 or 25 will be good years...

Should I apply for Antelope in Wyoming or not???

From what I have heard the Casper area got hit real hard this winter, I'd go for a point.

    Does anyone still hunt turkeys?

I've seen turkeys react just like deer and elk. When there isn't a season going on you can walk right up to a flock, but put a shotgun into my hands and they are gone.

    Antelope

I was just planning on points for antelope and deer. And then think about a unit to hunt in 2024, but I may go for 2025.

    Proposed Utah permits

While Utah got hit hard by this winter's storms most of the state wasn't too bad as far as where the animals winter at. On what I put in for I have: Slim to very slim chance on my bison tag with 24 points. They only let a single non resident tag out so no bonus tags. Slim to better than...

    New muzzleloader talk

California central, I'm afraid that if we don't get the liberals out of office here in Colorado we will be headed the same way.

    New muzzleloader talk

There's not, I have purchased 2 on line with no problems. You might have something for a background check depending on the state that you live in but there is nothing federal with buying a muzzle loader on line.

Another article on Wyoming's tough winter

Many years ago when I had my first ATV along with a friend we would go rabbit hunting and use them to access the area that we hunted. One year we got into a sagebrush flat and decided to turn it into a race track in 2 foot of snow. Well, we went round and round and ended up with a track about...

Another article on Wyoming's tough winter

They have the feed that both can survive on, but you hit the nail on the head about money. Most of the game and fish departments are self sustaining and just don't have access to the money that it would take to feed them.

Another article on Wyoming's tough winter

Most of the time emergency feeding doesn't work. All it does is spends the divisions money. Deer take special pellets, I'm not sure just what they can feed antelope, elk will break into farmers haystacks. Deer and antelope do not do well on alfalfa during the winters and will actually starve...

    Colorado winter kill.

This winter has been a strange one. I sit in a valley just off of I-70 and while we have gotten snow most of it has melted off within a few days. I took a drive a while ago to the south up Gypsum Creek and you really don't get into a lot of snow until you are almost into the canyon. But the...

    New muzzleloader talk

Looking at them, they could be in a gray area with Colorado. While the plastic is part of the bullet it is also designed to grip the rifleings like a sabot.

    New muzzleloader talk

Just as a FYI, Powerbelts are legal in Colorado even with their plastic skirt, but that skirt is attached to the bullet itself and doesn't drop away after firing it. Lot's of things to look at as far as what is legal and what isn't .
