Possible Look into Colorado's Elk Hunting

A big problem is that most hunters don't know just what is happening or what they are thinking about doing until it is already done. This article just gives some a heads up to be ready for some real radical changes........................perhaps.

    Wolverine Reintroduction

They would have to bring them in from populations up in the far north. One problem with them is that even where they have a good population they are very seldom seen. When I was hunting in a wilderness up in British Colombia I asked my guide about them. He said that it had been a dozen...

    Getting Started Elk Hunting

The one problem with going with a outfitter to get your feet wet is that they usually have very good ground to hunt. Quite often it will be private where the normal hunter can not hunt without hiring the outfitter. But it is a way to perhaps see how to hunt elk, but with it being very good...

    Getting Started Elk Hunting

What state are you looking at and what weapon? Colorado still offers quite a few over the counter either sex elk tags, but there are a number of units that are bull only. There are also quite a few OTC units for rifle bull hunts with 3 different seasons of varying lengths that you can pick...

Changes Coming To Idaho's Tag System

It was bound to happen, non residents will have to start putting in for a draw for some tags in Idaho. Colorado is looking at a non resident draw for all elk tags, but for now that is just a rumor. https://legislature.idaho.gov/sessioninfo/2024/legislation/H0587/

    Paunsagunt Deer

I hunted it so many years ago I hate to even think about how long ago it was. Back then you didn't have to worry about landowners and trying to gain permission to hunt on their land. As long as you left the gates as they were and picked up your trash they were glad to have you. But the best...
