Not about drawing odds...is bout 90-116 more residents hunting moose, sheep, goat and bison a year. In the next 10 years that means 900-1160 more residents get to hunt OIL animals, and that is the reason for the change. It makes only one thing, and that's sense.

    When are Wyoming tags mailed

Better call the wambulance... I don't have many this year, 6 deer tags, 3 elk tags, 5 pronghorn tags, black bear, wolf, and lion.... Could pick up a general NR elk tag OTC in MT too for another $200...but won't.

Agreed, 90-10 for the big 5 is a done deal. Headed to the Legislature.

The sooner everyone comes to grips with the fact that States have the absolute right to change, get rid of point systems and/or limit the number of tags available to NR's the better. Life isn't fair...never has been, never will be. If hunting moose or sheep is a priority, save and make it...

It's all over the map...they were talking the most about taking the top 4-5 preference point pools (those with 20+ poingt), keeping them in the preference side of the draw until they all drew sheep and moose. Those in the remaining 21-22 pools below that would all be in a "bonus" point pool for...

Sounds like you got exactly what Nesvik said...an increased chance of drawing a tag. You'll still have a chance under 90-10 and a better chance the more points you have, that is if they aren't phased out.

No probably about it...its going to the legislature in February, and its going to pass. Talk is to phase points out completely and back to random draw.

Define deception...if you're implying your preference points, you got exactly what you paid for.

Well....I might care more about business owners, what they think about wildlife/hunting decisions if they paid a single red cent to help manage any of it. I'm tired of decisions and recommendations coming from people who are on the take...they contribute nothing...zip. If they want a seat at...

I get it...it's the same way here...I know I couldn't afford my house in today's market. I could afford to live in my rental...maybe.

Pro tip...you're 20 years too late. This is America...knock yourself out. Don't forget your long underwear and snow shovel...and bring a wad of cash, housing is through the roof. House next door sold for $800K 2 years ago, one a street over just sold for over $900K. Never would have believed...

I sure hope the Residents of Colorado do something to decrease the number of NR hunters... I would strongly support CO capping NR elk tags, similar to what Wyoming does. I would also strongly support CO residents going 90-10 for all limited elk, deer, pronghorn...they already are with MSG...

    What kind of hunter...

Depends on the tags, species, etc. But, about 95% of the time...foot soldier.

Good to hear. Lets see the letters you wrote to the Colorado DOW when they baited and switched me when I could no longer apply for ranching for wildlife tags as a NR. Lets see the letter you wrote in support of NR's when the CDOW decided to allow people to apply without fronting the money...

Right, it sounds a whole lot like how AK favors their residents and craps on NR's. "Back in the day" I didn't need a guide to hunt brown bears, grizzlies, goats and sheep. Back in 1994 I could buy my NR sheep tag at walmart and kill a B&C ram in the Chugach. I also got to hunt caribou on the...

You're living in the past almost as much as you are on denial Island in fantasyland. "back in the day"...my Dad and his friends could shoot 2 mule deer bucks each in Montana during the rut, and they did. Are you saying they should still be able to because you "don't think changing is fair for...

Oh, I don't know...I draw a lot more than my fair share of tags. Already drawn 2 shiras moose, desert sheep, muskox, oryx, bighorn sheep ram, bighorn sheep ewe on a second choice, mountain goat, 4 rifle bull tags in AZ, 4 LQ bull tags in WY, can't know how many great pronghorn tags in NM, MT...

There's only one way to look at this...and that's more tags going to Residents. I don't care about increasing draw odds, I care about MORE Residents getting more tags...that's it. The people that live here, work here, pay taxes here, build lives here deserve a higher allocation, its not...
