    I haven't kept many over the years. I have 3-4 sets of Sitka deer racks laying around. We sold most of the others. The moose and caribou racks that I used to have were stolen out of my yard. and all the "trophies" from my early days...mule deer, antelope and Columbian Blacktail were thrown away...

    Kodiak hunt

    I shot that buck with a 7mm-08 with a 140gr. Barnes TSX. Dropped in his tracks but I put one more in him to stop his heart. I was only about 75 yards away and my hunting partner had his .375H&H, thus my "lighter" rifle! As I've said, Kodiak deer is my favorite hunt in Alaska! You need to try it...

    Thanks. I was lucky to get that buck near the beach. Gutted and in the skiff pretty quickly! No close calls with the bears. The closest was a sow with 3 cubs that I saw about 75-100 yards away. She didn't like us and ran the other way. The bear in the photo was on the opposite side of a stream...

    I have a Cooper 52 in 338-06 and really like it. It's more accurate than I am with it and Cooper has very good customer service, in my experience. If I were to change it, I would prefer to have a 3 position safety that allows the rifle to be unloaded with the safety on and also provides a bolt...
