The January MRS just went on-line. It covers Arizona, Utah and Wyoming (Mountain Goat, Moose Sheep). Considering the vast number of errors in last year's issue for Arizona and Utah and the same types of errors again this year, I am not sure how accurate it is. The do a thorough job with Wyoming though. Out of their home state of Wyoming…not so much.

I've been waiting for that! I provided some input to Guy on a specific area with all the indepth research I did complete w/ harvest pictures from guys within the last 7 years. I'm curious to see if it makes it in the issue or if it is held close.

The amount of errors in general (every issue) is what made me switch to Western Hunter.

You might want to take another look. The number of errors in the magazines is down dramatically over the last year.

As far as errors you believe are in the MRS sections, why not provide them with specific feedback so they can correct them instead of coming on their own forum and bashing them?

I'm not seeing this as bashing. It is more like a group of people talking about what they don't like about the magazine. This is a good place for this to happen. It's not like it is behind there back on another forum. The magazine is first class in regards to the photography and story content but the attention to detail on the spelling needs help. The MRS section is a starting tool and they say that up front. There is a lot of information in that section and it would be near impossible to get all of that data 100% right. I have been getting the Eastmans' magazine for seven years and I will continue to. I spend to much time on the throne so I have to have something to read. And this magazine has got me hunting in numerous states as well. Now I'm worried I misspelled something.

I'm not saying you can't say anything negative on the forum. What I am saying is some of what is said above is inaccurate and the rest is unhelpful.

You can hardly find a misspelling or a typo in the magazines' text over the last few months and people who don't even subscribe any more are on here talking about errors in the magazine!

People who say there are still a lot of typos aren't paying attention lately or don't know proper spelling when they see it.

My wife has brought me home three issues since I decided to not renew. I found several in both. Despite that, I really enjoyed one of the issues. Both have been in the last year, mind you. I'm not bashing them; just laying out the facts. Not trying to sound any more rude than I already may be, but it is not my job to provide them with specific hunting info. I try and help guys on this forum, but why the heck would I want that in a magazine for everyone to see?

I guess typos dont bother me much since I cant spell or write that good anyways. As long as I get the general idea its good enough for me!

Seems like a lot of changes in personnel at the magazine in the last several years. I would think that would effect end result at times. I agree with MM that I don't get hung up on spelling and grammar much as my focus is else where. Maybe I have tunnel vision for big racks?
