My Dad owned a duck hunting club in California and they were his. They are pretty old and a little worn out, that's why they are in the garage. You kill that wood duck in Colorado?
The skull got broken and I have the other side, just havn't put it back together. It's on the drawer unit next to the coffee pot.Pretty cool CC !
What's up with that 1-horn mule deer on the far left?
What did you use to hang your hides like that?View attachment 30383
here’s kind of a 360. It’s been updated and added to each year. Couple years old.
The bear hides? Well... a nail. Super fancy I know. What did you use to hang your hides like that?
Lol!... ok was just wondering if you used something in particular that worked well. I was thinking about using a skull hooker??? I'll probably take down one of my Euros first to see what it looks like with a bear hide hanging from it. Thanks for the reply. The bear hides? Well... a nail. Super fancy I know.
I once had someone walk in our house and as soon as she turned the corner and saw the mounts they just left. So I guess you are a smart manView attachment 30584
Here's my sheep.
My other mounts are taken down while we have our house on the market.
I use this for my skulls. I cut those boards to resemble the outline of the state of Montana and then I just bent these brackets and put a bunch of electrical tape around the end of them to create kind of a ball and so far it has worked great. I suppose it would work well for the nose of the bear hide as well.Lol!... ok was just wondering if you used something in particular that worked well. I was thinking about using a skull hooker??? That’s a cool idea cutting the wood into the shape of your state ... very nice!I cut those boards to resemble the outline of the state of Montana
When we were trying to sell our last house, we had some negative feedback regarding the number of dead animal heads on our walls. When my wife asked if we should take some down, I said ‘no way’. I didn’t want some anti hunting a-hole to own the house we had made our home for 12 years.View attachment 30584

I get it, but we raised our family in that house, as a hunting family, and I built the house by myself. I wanted a like-minded person to buy the houseWell, my wife wants to sell the house so I’m going to support her.
Good luck selling your house. Hold out for what it’s worth. Home buyers are fickle and petty when looking at houses, but the right buyer will come alongI get that too.
Good for you!
