Here's my favorite.
After hunting hard for a kudu and not finding a good one at a decent range I got this fellow on the morning of the last day.

My Son and Daughter, it was one of the funnest days we had in the woods. Long story behind the hunt but every time I see this picture I can't help but smile.

My absolute favorites are probably of my kids with their first deer but this one always makes me laugh and smile...I was on a steep downhill slope and layed prone with my rifle on my pack, jacket and hat to shoot way up above me, I knew the scope was going to hit me just didn’t think it would be that hard! Dead elk though!
One of my favorite memories. My bear hunt with my dad and brother in Ontario.
Both these were my first time taking these animals and for the woodcock might be my only one I ever get (regret some times not mounting the wood cock)

I started my youngest at 5... He was a very mature 5 year old. NE69 let us borrow a great little .28 gauge auto. I would highly recommend starting kids with one of those. Almost no recoil and turkeys were DRT inside of 30 yards.

I guess a .243 will kill a moose just fine … he must have had good shot placement. Congrats!! Nice shot !!

1954, I was 12 and able to hunt deer for the first time. Dad put me in for a doe tag in the Mts above Fresno, Ca. I shot this doe at about 100 yards in the neck with my sporterized 03 Springfield with military sights. Didn't have a scope yet. I think I was pretty lucky, altho I wouldn't admit it.
