Bear steaks for supper!
I really can't explain how fantastic this bear is!
If I could put 300# of this in my freezer every year, it's all I'd eat!

never been a huge fan of bear , though it will make a turd.

I like beef , first and foremost, then then it goes elk, moose, deer ( generally but not always whitetail over mulie) ,speed goat,, pork ,lamb then bear and on down to upland game such as quail , pheasant and chukar, then rodents(such as squirrel or them wascawy wabbitts with waterfowl a dead last as it just tastes plain fowl to me.

Don't know what you've ate before, but you haven't ate it taken care of or prepared like this. My 8 and 10 year old asked for seconds of it over desert.

I've eaten a lot of bear; I liked it but my wife finally told me to stop bringing it home. Hands down, my favorite meat of all time (no matter how it's fixed) is bison. In 2004 I had 603# of boneless bison, one bull elk, and 30 pheasant in the freezer, and it was all gone within a year. Just my wife and I at home too, tho the kids and relatives always had their hands out for donations.

Hatch chilis are the best. You can use them with just about anything and it will taste better.
Here we are in Eagar, AZ on my bro's archery elk hunt in 2015. We took an afternoon out of the hunt when we saw the "chili guy" setting up.DSCN0268.jpg

Elk pastrami, smoked 6hrs 25min @ 160, then turned up to 220 for 48min. Total time in the smoker, 7hrs 13min cooked to an internal temp of 150. Turned out absolutely amazing, will not be able to share with anyone I discussed this with!!!
