I understand your point of view. I'm looking at hunting cow moose so the points and draw for me are a bit different. For bulls, it is crazy for anyone to get in the game at this point. 100+ years to reach the top point class going strictly by the math. Even with attrition a guy would wait 30-50 years to draw a good tag. Just not worth it.

Will see my brother tomorrow at the family Christmas party and discuss our plan's to burn our WY max antelope point's. We also have Max point's for deer, but waiting for a great friend to sell his house and move there so we can get around the wilderness law. Drew bull moose in 2014 and this year burned my max elk points on a unit that I could have drawn with 5. Both of those hunts were successful. Getting old, need to burn those point' before I run out of time?

My only daughter is getting married in October. I need to shift work to ensure I have that off vice BOW SEASON in Colorado!!!!! Will have to wait for final plans to come out before figuring out what to hunt.

I'm going on a guided mule deer hunt in Wyoming next fall. I'm doing the legwork to a DIY pronghorn hunt on the same trip. Of course I put in for a moose tag here in Maine but that's a long shot. Then there is partridge and whitetail season in November. I gotta go to work as well.

I'll be hunting deer, elk, and pronghorn in Wyoming. Then possibly pick up OTC archery pronghorn tag for Colorado. And with fingers crossed, a bison tag as well.

Should draw an archery elk tag in AZ... points in WY (plan to hunt elk in WY in 2018 and burn my 10 points)... will apply for premium hunts in UT and NV... see where I'm at for when I apply in NM... then will apply for everything in CO, probably pick up a deer tag of some sort.

I booked a caribou hunt with 40 mile air with 2 friends in Alaska. That hunt is August 16. Then a deer hunt with dad in Oregon for a week. Its going to be a great year!

Yup I couldn't believe some of the folks who chose to continue $75 & $100/year donations to WYG&F with no realistic return on that investment. All a guy had to do was spend 10 minutes on a calculator to figure that out The numbers don't lie. And that was assuming no future point cheapening, for which all states have a proven track record.

I started a new job last month, so PTO went back to zero, and had to miss my AZ Coues hunt this year. I should have enough time next fall to take a 2 week trip, or 2 shorter hunts though.

A pard and I each have a few points for Wyoming antelope, so if he wants to cash in we'll do that and pick up cow elk tags to go with our antelope tags. Otherwise, I'll probably do Idaho deer and elk, as long as I don't get lucky in the other draws.

I've got a Alabama hog trip planned for a long weekend in March. Whitetails at home.

It looks like we're doing Wyoming antelope; Hopefully we'll pick up a doe tag or 2 to go with our buck tags. I'm also applying for a Type 6 elk tag.

Will have to see how the draws go for the 2nd fall hunt.

Archery for elk last 2 weeks of the hunt here in Colorado. May try for rifle deer tag as well. Good luck to all for 2017 hunts.

For 2017 we have to decide soon between a WY deer/cow elk (one guy with elk and the other with deer) or go back to MT for November mulies. 2018 is a going to be a group pronghorn hunt going in with 5 points so for a first time trip for that it should be pretty good with four guys.
