I see most of you guys are running about 70#

Im new to bow hunting... Sounds like i need to turn mine up from 60...
Naa, your doing the right thing by keeping it on the low side as a beginning bowhunter. Once your dialed in, all you want to do is shoot shoot and shoot. There are lots of broadhead/ arrow options out there that make a 60# bow just as lethal as a 70# bow.

If you're shooting accurately you don't need to shoot 70lbs. Most new bows are very efficient and will get the job down with no problems.

There is no need to shoot a 70lb DW with the bows today. I shoot at 61lb and it will kill anything a 70lb bow will. Shoot what is most comfortable for you. If it's a 90lb bow great, if it's a 50lb bow great.

Shoot what is comfortable in a variety of situations, sitting, kneeling, standing on an incline etc..... As this will be hunting situations.

My 2011 setup:
Bowtech destroyer 340 @ 27.5 & 61
Spott Hogg Real Deal
QAD ultra rest
Easton ST Axis 400s
G5 montec 125gr

Montana Black Gold Ascent
Ripcord Code Red rest
Alpine quiver
VaporTrail strings
Sims stabilizer
100 grain Slick Tricks
Beman Bone Collector arrows 340 gr

Can't wait to get a new bow someday soon. I'll probably hold on to this one for another year or two though. It still shoots good and has killed quite a few animals!
