It's more like if they are not going to support the things that matter to me Ill choose not to support them. One question that needs to be answered just who they support?so boycott a company because they stopped giving discounts. that is what everyone is crying about.
Didnt yeti post 30.06 and 30.07 signs on store last year? Isnt that the Texas way of not allowing concealed carry?
i don't care what side of the fence someone may be on wit this topic; this is funny!!DICK'S: "Nobody can lose business faster than we can."
YETI: "Hold my tumbler"
Give an inch and they take a mile. By your statement, I take it you're not an NRA member. There is a difference between supporting the 2nd amendment and what the NRA does. They absolutely refuse to have any sort of conversation about anything related to guns. Their motto should be "NO!". They're an extremist organization and being an extremist is rarely the right position to take.
I guess in your mind it is.so boycott a company because they stopped giving discounts. that is what everyone is crying about.
we have already compromised all we ever need to. there are no more laws needing to be passed to restrict law abiding citizens of their rights. there are no more laws needing to be passed to deal with the criminals either. There is a difference between supporting the 2nd amendment and what the NRA does. They absolutely refuse to have any sort of conversation about anything related to guns. Their motto should be "NO!". They're an extremist organization and being an extremist is rarely the right position to take.
"The first one to plead his cause seems right, until his neighbor comes and examines him." Proverbs 18:17. Proverbs is the book of wisdom, and wisdom says that it is critical to understand both sides of an issue before taking a side. It's bad judgement to jump on a side before hearing out the whole story. Our system of justice is built on such a principle.
The NRA letter states, "Suddenly, without prior notice, YETI has declined to do business with The NRA Foundation saying they no longer wish to be an NRA vendor, and refused to say why." When I first read this statement, I thought, how do you "decline to do business" as there are numerous retail outlets selling Yeti. I thought at the time that this more likely had to do with discounted pricing to the NRA. I would find it helpful to see the documentation from Yeti that says that they no longer "wish to be an NRA vendor".
Yeti comes out with their response they say "we were eliminating a group of outdated discounting programs". Their reply make sense. It very well could be that they had to rein in their discount programs. That reply seems plausible from a business standpoint.
I haven't taken a side in this issue, and will wait to see it play out.
Out of full disclosure I am a lifetime NRA member and pro NRA. I own one Yeti tumbler and instead a pile of Engle and RTIC stuff, so I am definitely not a Yeti fanboy.
This is my main reason for posting this. With social media today it is more critical than ever to step back and see both sides of a story. With the speed information travels, in HOURS a person or a business can be destroyed when something goes viral. I really don't want to be a part of that without understanding all of the facts.
All, as of this writing 9 am eastern time the Yeti corporate offices phone line has been swamped or is disconnected. The repeat fast busy signal indicates the they have been overwhelmed by calls.
I am about to write a letter detailing what I consider dishonest and deceptive business practices conducted by Yeti over the past several years. Seems we the sportsmen and sportswomen of this world are good enough to purchase some very expensive equipment and support a product for the jackasses at Yeti but they choose to turn away from the NRA who protects our 2nd Amendment rights.
I will be sending letters to any retailer who either sells or OEMs with Yeti informing them that I will not purchase any items from the stores as long as the Yeti product is on the shelf. I will also send letters to conservation organizations who have partnerships with Yeti informing them that the contributions will stop until they break ties with Yeti.
