What a great hunt regardless of the hot weather for the end of September. Had 8 - 10 different bulls going nuts last Thursday eve in a high meadow and I was able to get in the middle and wait for an opportunity. I picked out the biggest, best sounding bugle and waited. He was getting closer with the other bulls bugling behind me. At 7PM he showed up at 40 yrds on the edge of the timber and came to me at 20 yards broadside. Not wanting to hurry the search I walked away and came back the next day with my Bro in Law and Nephew. 125 yrds and 15 minutes of looking the bull was found.

His Right side Base had been damaged at some point in his life and he grew a funky antler. Kind of a unique bull.
