Looking for a cape for a large muley brother in law shot years ago. Wanting to mount it as a present for all he has done to help me over the years. Checked with local Taxi's but no luck yet.
I've typically received from $100-$150 for green capes when I did the initial skinning when selling to taxidermists.Out of curiosity, what would a cape cost? Colorado front range area.

K, PM me with what you find out. That sounds like one heck of a Mulie. I was always going to put this on a big NT with crazy mass I found dead, kept filling available wall space with ones I got and never got around to it.Thanks Tim. I will check Monday and let you know. If it's tanned I would imagine it would be good but I will let the taxi decide that. He shot that buck in 1963 when he was 18. 34.5" wide and lots of mass. When I asked him if it was ok to have it mounted for him as I figured he didn't have much money at that time, he said "I didn't even have enough to by shells back then". I always had to go down in his old gun shop and check the rack out when I was a kid and dream about big bucks.!!!!!!
