Looking for a cape for a large muley brother in law shot years ago. Wanting to mount it as a present for all he has done to help me over the years. Checked with local Taxi's but no luck yet.:)

Let me know if you still don't have one. A buddy of mine is a taxi and tans hides. He might have one or might be able to get one, but he is moving his shop next month so he is trying to keep his inventory low

Wasn't sure on price so an internet search came up with $100 to $250 depending on size and condition and if it was tanned or green.

Still looking for a cape. Seems like every time I think I have one it hasn't worked out. Tried to attach a pic of his buck.

I have a tanned cape off a large bodied mule deer. I never got around to using it. It has been in the freezer for 12 years. I'm not sure about the legalities of selling, so it is yours if it will work for shipping costs. I can take it out and look at it, take pictures etc. If you are interested, ask your Tax if one can be frozen that long, and if so, what I need to look for to be sure it is OK. I have no idea what to look for.

Thanks Tim. I will check Monday and let you know. If it's tanned I would imagine it would be good but I will let the taxi decide that. He shot that buck in 1963 when he was 18. 34.5" wide and lots of mass. When I asked him if it was ok to have it mounted for him as I figured he didn't have much money at that time, he said "I didn't even have enough to buy shells back then". I always had to go down in his old gun shop and check the rack out when I was a kid and dream about big bucks.!!!!!!

K, PM me with what you find out. That sounds like one heck of a Mulie. I was always going to put this on a big NT with crazy mass I found dead, kept filling available wall space with ones I got and never got around to it.
