That's because they only accepted educated wolves that know where the states border are.

You can see that they know where they are at by not crossing into Wyoming but only running east west along the border

Well they managed to breed so CO has that going for it...

I was hoping enough of them had jumped across the border into Wyoming that it had changed things up a bit.

And they are branching out a little bit further, but they did decided to move away from the Wyoming boarder in a couple of areas.

This map shows the drainage's that they have received the GPS signals from. Sad that it looks like they got some readings just to the south of where I live and the elk herd is in trouble form bears and cats.

Now CP&W is going to move the pack that was killing the most livestock.

Sounds like they are going to give someone else the problem wolves.

.
Article says to use an electric fence. Back on the dairy farm we only had 120 acres and was a fair amount of work to maintain an electric fence. Unfathomable to me on how you could maintain one on 1200 or 12000 acre ranch. Of course the ones recommending the use of one have never done it.

It's been a while since this thread was updated so here is a little on the wolves that were causing quite a bit of the problems preying on livestock during the summer and early fall. The alpha male died of injuries that he inured in some way.

The new release spot for the wolves that are suppose to be brought in next year is right in my backyard. I have a feeling that they'll release them in the Holy Cross Wilderness on the south east corner of Unit 44, but that is only speculation.

On a side note Colorado is in a financial bind and in trying to find extra money and looking for areas to cut the budget the reintroduction next year is something that they are looking at. They figure that they can save around $2,000,000 by waiting for the 2025 reintroduction.

Wait what???? It's expensive to release wolves???? Especially when the plan was beyond weak to begin with???
