Winter in the Bighorns

Anyone in the Bighorn Mtns. area know how the winter has been there and the mule deer forecast for the upcoming fall.

I was in Sheridan late November and I saw lots of mule deer all over antelope 109. Even saw several great bucks of course most of them were on private.

I'd be interested to hear more as well. By looking at local SNOTEL sites, I can see that my area of interest has about a foot less of snow than it did on this day last year. I'm not sure if that translates to less winter kill or a healthier herd necessarily, since the deer tend to move to lower elevations like Sheridan.

From what others have recently stated on this forum, it has been a descent winter in this area for wildlife.
