You should be able to go right onto their website, plug your GPS with the chip into the computer with the USB cord and do it that way. That's the way I've been doing the updates!

I tried the computer update and paid for the update online. The update just wouldn't load on my chip. I was prompted to fill out a form and send the chip in. While the computer update didn't work for me the program is very straight forward and simple to use.

I haven't had time to try lately to see if I can do an update with these WIAs and HMAs. It is pretty straight forward and if it doesn't work for me either at least we know we can send them in to let them do it. Thanks!

As mentioned earlier I tried my Wyoming chip update online and paid online to start the process last Thursday, the upload didn't take on mine. I sent the chip in per the instructions from X Maps the next day (this past Friday). Just got an email today from X Maps; they received the chip today, updated it today and sent it back out to me today. They even provided a tracking number for tracking the chip as it comes back to me.

I sent my chip in 10 days ago and haven't heard a word about it.

Got mine back the following week. The guys at X maps sent me an email when they received it and sent me another with a shipping tracking number when they sent it back out. It looks like I also received a brand new chip as well complete with a new sd carrier card for the chip!!!
