why no whitetail success thread?

Lousy pic but I shot this guy on Saturday morning. Only deer killed on our place out of 6 hunters. This was the second largest I had on trail cam; the largest hadn't showed himself since oct 30. We still haven't recovered from the EHD breakout of 2012.

Recent Youth Weekend in Ohio. I took my nephew who shot a main frame 6 with a small droptine and a lot of palmation. He was pumped. It's great getting the kids out in the woods and teaching them. The smiles say it all.

Here's a buck I got in Kansas on Nov. 11. Won't score much, but has 18 3/4" inside spread. My Dad and I hunted from 11/9 to 11/17, sunup to sundown and this was one of the best bucks we saw. Can't understand why we didn't see any bigger bucks, but I was happy to take this one. I also filled my doe tag, and shot 2 tom turkeys. Gotta love Kansas!

It has been a tough year in Kansas, especially during the dates you mentioned. Windy every day and unseasonably cold weather isn't much fun to hunt in. Glad you shot some of the turkeys... there are one or two more though! I shot my deer early this year in October and have still been getting more night time pictures on my camera than day time pictures.

Nice bucks everyone! This is my girlfriends first deer. I called/decoyed him into under 15 yards. He put on quite a show. She has nerves of steel from playing D1 basketball but she was shaking like a leaf! To top it off I got it all on video.

Took this 8 point early, October 3rd. Taxidermist finished already, January 2nd. Took me 20+ years but finally got a bona fide trophy whitetail.
