Here's one I'm after. Pic on the left is last year, right this year. He's a clean 8 with kickers on his g2s. Just a nice meaty IL buck.

Thanks tdcour.
Hope you get an arrow in that one hunt1up. Love hunting Illinois. I've killed some nice bucks up there. The time is right down here right now. My buddy just shot another buck out of same stand just now(this morning).

Nice buck Matt!

He green scored 142.

This is one my buddy took when we were hunting in Missouri. Posted in another thread already.

Can't wait to get me a buck too!

Team Kabob that's a really nice MO whitetail. My best bow buck to date came from northwest MO. 161" gross typical 10 point. It's the one in my avatar. My brother just got back last tuesday from hunting up there. He came back empty. Saw some good ones but just out of bow range.

I hear ya. It's starting to really take off down here. A guy yesterday shot a buck that he watched breed a doe just before. Should be a good week down here. We have had some really cold weather for this area, this time of year. Hope you stick one this week cause y'all should have gun season starting shortly, right? Better get it down before the crazy's come out.

Had him out chasing does Sat morning for a while and I opted to let him walk. Hopefully the gamble will pay off. Stud for our area of Texas already, but he has the frame of a deer that could explode in another year.

I wouldn't even let myself touch my rifle, kept 2 cameras in my hands the whole time he was out. No doubt which deer he was when he stepped out at 450. Dang deer just about doubles his ear width on spread which should put him in the 25" range and I think he has the beams to make it count.

Hope so, I have a cpl other ones that I hope are breeding every doe in sight and 1 that I need to shoot so he doesn't run the other bucks off. That one gave me about 2 seconds to make a decision on and I opted to let him go as well to see what other bucks move in. After Christmas I'll shoot him and keep his cape, it has some unique color to it.

Time for the all day sit tomorrow. November 7th, high of 46 degrees. The perfect wind I need for my stand choice. A light SW breeze midday. Should be calm and frosty at sunrise. I'm like a kid on Christmas Eve right now.

Good luck! Sounds like all you need is a willing participant!
