I agree completely, I'm almost as strong now as I was in my twenties and a helluva lot mentally tougher but the extra body fat is a lot harder to get rid of now than it was then.

VO2 Max test run today, mainly to make sure my watch tech is legit. Covered 1.73 miles in 12 mins, that?s a 6:55/mi pace and a VO2 Max of 51, I?m pretty happy with that at 35

That?s a tough workout Tim!Friday - HIIT Intervals, rotated between full resistance/inclined elliptical, burpees and spin bike for 30 mins.
Still nursing this stupid elbow so not doing much strength at the moment.
