I'm resting this week in preparation for my first BIG road race. I'm also trying to get over a head cold.
This will be my 4th half, but the other 3 were a local 1,000 participate race. My previous races (all the same) are known as the "toughest half in the country", but this one will be on a much larger stage- Excited but nervous.
They are expecting 15,000-20,000 runners.

Well little disappointed had a heck of a night in the deer woods tonight.
Been bow hunting for 5 years now with no luck during bow season. Well drew back tonight on a doe and about 90 percent sure she ducked it. Cant find my arrow in the dark (buying lighted nocks now) and searched for blood for 20-30 mins no luck. Going back tommorrow after work just to make one more search but heard the deer snort at me and run off as i was leaving my spot.

Home now getting ready to do a HiiT video.

Made it up to Columbus for the 1/2 marathon race. Currently wet windy and getting colder.
Projected 33 degrees at race start. Brrrrr

Got race packet and drove most of course. Mostly flat with one very long hill at mile 7.

Went to hotel and found out it burnt down! Took a while to find a room but all settled in now. Didn?t think I was going to locate anything close.

Still can?t believe I hit all of these smaller race-type PR?s during a half marathon. Very pleased with my performance. Time to rest up over the next 11 days before I head to the mountains for two weeks!
Looks like I?m ready.

Thats awesome bone collector. I had been noticing with your posts tour times seem to be getting better and better over the last few months. Congrats on a great PR race.

Tim or anyone in the know;

What kind of water bottle are you attaching to your bike on your long rides? I use a standard plastic bottle that fits into the cage that mounts will hex screws to the bike frame. But I notice the water turns warm when filled with ice after 45 minutes. Warm water is better than no water when you?re 15 miles out but looking for a little cooler option. Thanks guys!

Here's another good list of best bike water bottle.
