the wife wanted a fire last night outside. We where serendaded by a bull bugling, turkeys talking and a owl hooting.
elk starts Wednesday, hopefully I am in good enough shape to get it out of the woods. I hit the t25's pretty hard this summer, and lots of playing in the mountains.
IF you can join some challenges, join them. They can be local or national. an example, I use strave on my bike rides. It is basically a tracking app. They have a monthly climbing challenge of 8000 meters of climbing on a bike every month. I did that challenge for 3 months in a row. It gave me some extra motivation. Which is basically what it is all about. Finding motivation to have a healthier life. Also, the biggest thing I have found to be in shape or stay out of shape is this: Discipline. Without it nothing occurs.

Thanks for the info guys yeah they have some challenges on myfitnesspal which i use for my calorie counts. They have a gew on mapmyrun which i us for my bike rides and run. Definitely try and get more of them on the nutritional side as my motivation for working out hasnt really changed a ton just kinda switched what i was into. Running was a big thing for me and trying to beat my previous years mileage challenge was one that kept me going but when my foot going numb around mile two kept being an issue i switched up and joined the biking club here in ton. They are down with the weekly rides for the season as it is dark now when we would ride. So i ride solo rides here and there and use my bike in the basement, along with the HiiT videos
As you always said bone collector its all about nutrition you can exercise your way out of bad watting habits and thats definitely what ive been an example of

Ready or not, I've been hitting the mountains.
Everything physical seems great so far. Hopefully I get to push it hard by packing out anv elk!
Hunting trip didnt do me to good. Weight in this morning ( first in a month) has me a bit depressed to be quite honest it kinda deflated me. Im up to 335 only down 25 pounds from my start weight 2 plus years ago. meaning ive put back 3/4 of what i lost as i was down 100 pounds back june of 2017. I got to re find my way and get my nutrition figured out.
NO clue what workouts you're doing, but i strongly would recommend weight training of any kind 2x a week, entire body, squats and pull ups/lat pull downs, if you only did those 2 exercises, you could get a full body weight lifting workout in, in 30mins probably.
throw out the high fructose corn syrup, it's in everything!
eat the natural full fat versions of everything, most of these low fat mayo/ranch etc.. are way worse for you.
read/watch nutritional documentaries on netflix etc...
Husky Musky, I feel your pain. I topped 315 in 1972, and after fighting the battle of the bulge for most of my life, I was finally forced to face the fact that I was digging my grave with my fork. I weighed 190 in high school, and increased to 225 in college. Thereafter, I continued to gain up to the aforementioned 315. I finally learned that it was not what you eat, but how much you eat, and when you eat it. Over the next ten years, I decreased to 265, then 245. Was stuck there for a while. Took up a new hobby (Scuba Diving), and decreased to 235. I have been at 225 for ten years. I fluctuate between 215 and 230, but mostly stay around the 215 mark. There is no diet, get thin book, or TV Doctor that can help you. You need a lifestyle change that only you can bring about. For me, it was abandoning daily lunches, in favor of a salad, or protein shake for lunch. At night when watching TV, I would snack, or have a beer. Not that I wanted it, I was just keeping my hands busy. I moved some of my reloading chores inside, and sort, or prime cases instead. Good luck. It is a tough job, but you can do it.
