Range day with my son. He hit steel at 1,100 yards today (multiple times), for the first time. Remington 700 Long Range with 3-lb Timney trigger. Nightforce FFP scope. Hornady 7RM ELD-X 162 gr.
That was all from the comfort of a bench. Teaching him to shoot prone off of a pack, and with shooting sticks next trip. The whole point of teaching him to shoot beyond 1,000 yards to to instill confidence and repeatability at shorter distances, such as 400 yds. Fun day.

Will do we booked it 2 and half years ago cant believe its almost time to go. It will be an amazing adventure. Been busy get custom forms and canda forms done for gun transporting and booking rooms for the drive to and from camp. Getting super excited. Be good for my dad , brother and me for bonding time especially after the passing of both our grandfather/dad father and father inlawKeep me posted on this bear hunt Marcus as you and I have been talking about it for over a year-LOL

Thats been like my last several monthsAnyone else struggling with the backyard bbq, beer, snack shack food, eating on the go typical summer? Uggg. 6 weeks until my hunt and I feel like I have regressed over the last couple weeks.
Yup. When i lift i dont give myself much of a break trying to make it a lift and cardio at the same time. What i love about having my stuff at home hard to do at the gym sometimes with everything seperate and lots of people there![]()

I agree but it is so hard right now. I coach 2 youth baseball teams and follow my older son's senior legion team. I literally have been home 2 nights out of the last 10. Not many healthy options at a baseball field snack shack. I have been packing healthy meals when I can. My 2 young teams finished state this past weekend so I can get back on the routine now. I'm just frustrated because I put on 6 pounds in the last month and missed most of my workouts.hilltop, you got to make it a year round thing, but with that said, those fricken donuts got me last week, beer is just good food. But this is the time of year, when some of my activities are fairly big.
