Met or exceeded Fitbit goals for the day. Son came buy and we all went to a late lunch. Note the date and time. Son paid for all of our meals!

Packed for the road trip tomorrow. Son got the biggest workout packing guns and their cases from downstairs out to the truck.

Everyone's stride is different, but on average, it is thought to be 2,000 steps per mile.

When setting up these devices, it asks for your stride length, thus providing mileage along with your steps. (helped my wife with her watch)

Monday
30 mins on the elliptical for 3.1 miles
20 mins recumbent bike

Strawberries are in season here so got two flats from the local farm. Washed them up and cut the tops on about 1.5 flats and got them in the freezer.

A bit of a lost fitness day due to the the 8-hour drive to Cody today. Rained most of the way. Saw lots of antelope, but not as many as last Fall. The speed-goats must be exercising because they looked skinny. One real nice Muley wearing velvet up close to the road, that made me burn an extra calorie or two.

Knee survived. Still managed 7,000 steps and three miles. Every one of those steps I was looking for a rattler...

Hung out in Cody with my mom today. Listened to my stepfather debrief great shooting escapades from Level 1 of Gunwerks. Last 500 steps completed in long hallway of hotel. Guests have no idea how many firearms are located within a 10 foot circle of my room and my truck.

Burned some calories today. Road trip with Mom to Yellowstone while stepfather spot and stalked steel targets.

Antelope photos were taken between Burlington and Cody through the spotting scope at 438 yards. The Grizzly was 183 yards, next to Yellowstone Lake. I left the engine in the truck running for that one.

Saw SO much wildlife today!

Those are not great antelope btw. I was simply experimenting with glassing with binoculars to find bedded antelope. When I would find something interesting, I would put the scope on it. The bigger buck (still small - check out ear height), was initially bedded, then got up and joined the other. Mirage was a bitch at mid-day.

It was fun. It was interesting to watch some of my fellow tourists treat Yellowstone like a large-scale petting zoo. I saw one couple standing about 4-5 yards from a Bison.

Then I saw a guy in shorts and flip-flops sneaking up on an Elk to get a better photo. I told mom not to watch, as I expected to see velvet hanging from the butt of the guy as he exited the woods.

Saw one Elk herd of approximately 80.

Saw Big Horn Sheep, Fox, and a few others too.
