Push ups and Pull up are doable for me. However, running 3 miles at an average pace of 6 minutes is a tough order unless you are built to run and not like a marine. lol Most runners try to break the 20 minute mark in a 5k...

The USMC PFT hasn't changed for over 40 years; You can earn 100 pts. in each part for a max score of 300. The max for sit-ups is 80 in 2 minutes; pull-ups - 20; and 18 minutes for the 3 mile run. I could always do the sit-ups, but quit for a while until the standard allowed for crossing the arms in front instead of behind the head to put less strain on your back and neck. The pull-ups took more work, but I am up to 22 now (not bad for a 64 year old). The 18 minute run was always a bitch for me, and I would just have to suck it up and run my ass off to get the time down. I know that my cardio is lacking, but still manage to get to the top of the mountain in my own time.

Dug out a 18" diameter stump in my yard by hand tonight. Took 2 and half hours, and not a single knuckle busted!

Ran 9.5 mi Wednesday night. Getting the longer distance times quicker, but don't know if I'll have enough time to improve before the running of the toughest 1/2 marathon in the Country in 5 1/2 weeks.

Gotta love the singletrack! I made my old hardtail into a single speed. Now that thing is workout!. I have a long run scheduled for Saturday and if my legs feel up to it I'll head out on the one of the mountain bikes Sunday for a nice ride

Eased back into Chest workout last night. Felt 'ok', and not bad this morning.
Will hit bi's and traps tonight and see how things go.

Still struggling from this 4 week illness. Got in two workouts despite it. Got a couple miles in on tread and did some chest along with rowing intervals. 640 watts and did 200 m in 30 seconds to finish the workout, not my best but I'll take it with walking pneumonia! If you guys haven't done the rower, I highly suggest it!

Ran 4 miles today. Middle 2 miles were done in 2 minute intervals alternating between running at tempo and running easy pace
