Work night shift and early early shift thursday so off day Wednesday

Thursday
Went on a run in this nice weather and in the light finally. Set a new PR 3 mile time (28:20) and 4 mile time. Was very very happy with this run.

After getting home from run noticed my package showed up with my new running shoes. My current ones are pretty much worn out tred wise. Got same brand and type as my current just different color for the new year.

.

Also signed up for 3 5k races this spring. Apr 23, may 7, may 20. Then have 3 more im going to run later in the year. July 23, sept 10, oct 7 and hopfully a 10k oct 15

Back to working out after a two week lay-off. Actually one week of it was elk hunting so I don't think that counts as down time. I don't work out as seriously as a lot of you guys though. I only do 3 days a week of lifting freeweights and 14-15 miles on the bike.
I figure I've got about 7 months til the first antelope season if I draw this year. Also my brother in AZ said it's time for him to apply for elk there already so perhaps another AZ elk hunt this year.
Good luck to all of you either getting in shape or just trying to stay in shape for the upcoming year.

Welcome. I'd say you're doing very well. The key is consistency. The best workout is the one you'll do.
Glad to have you in our circle of friends.

Nice work Marcus! Breaking all kinds of barriers!
Which shoes did you get?
Crush all out light trail shoe by merrel. Same shoe i have now. Even though i run mostly on paved paths i like the extra cushioning on the trail shoes and traction
