Yes, I alternate workouts between dumbbells and barbells. Slow accent and squeeze them at the top before descending the weight to the starting position. I generally do them 3 days per/wk as they recover very quickly.

Mine seem to get the most work/sore from doing moderate weight hang cleans. I guess I must really emphasize the power shrug part of the movement. Regular shrugs don't seem to work them as well for me. I'll try them slower

Nice work. My company is hosting peak performance week this week and today's event was the 500 m row. We had someone do it in 1:08! Not a lot of people use the rower but it is a tremendous work out if done correctly. It is a main component of our daily workouts. I highly recommend everyone incorporating it into the routine.

1:08 is crazy fast. I'd like to think I could do it around 1:35 if I tried to PR. Might have to try that next week, it's a crushing 500m

Yeah it's crazy fast, my best is 1:21. I do 200 m regularly for quick bursts. Usually at or below :30. I aim for :30 and/or 700 watts. Haven't been able to break 700 yet though.

Tuesday

Was 40 degrees so decided to go for a run in the light ran. Next time ill look at the forcast better. Dropped to 34 mid way through the run and started sleeting not bad till you mix in the 30 mph winds and guest to 45 mph. But besides the hard last mile into the wind it was a nice run first one in a little over a week.

Tuesday:

Treadmill run due to rain - Pushed it a bit last night and came away with 5 miles @ 39:29 (1% incline)
I think it's a descent time as I'm not built to run at 5'9" 190lb LOL

Starting the winter workout routine? Hunting season kills my workout schedule and today is my first day back at it. Chest and tris this morning, anybody else working out?

Yep. I kinda stop workin out in September cuz if hunting season and fire it back up around the 1st week of Dec. I try to do the Cam Hanes thingy, run, lift, shoot, but I live in MN so shooting outside is usually unpleasant so that doesn't happen.
